The big brown truck showed up today with some goodies! Drop spindles and adjusters! Now I have to make some time to do the install. Lastly a pretty cool antique bug toy I spotted at an antique store around here.

Car looks great! These types of pumps put out about 4psi, and enough volume to run bigger carburetors. They can be a bit noisy, so if you're going to use it; isolate it somehow (I have some "Unisorb" material that you're welcome to). I had one on a 1641 with dual 40's and it ran well. Two advantages, you can locate it away from heat and it allows to screw in an in-line fuel filter right on the pump. -Ray

If it was me I would keep the stock pump on a stock motor. Less headache but save it for a spare (if it works) for a just in-case moment. You may want to store it in the car in-case yours fails somewhere. I carry a good spare mechanical fuel pump in my magic bag with extra push rod.

Okay, rebuilt most of my spindles today! 2.5 inch drop. Th only thing now is I have to get a link pin kit. Check out the worn bushings! d**n. Anyone have any left over link pin kits???
