Wonder if you could wet sand off the rattle can paint and get back to the Og paint?
Car looks like a good project. Love the lowered patina look!

That looks great. I would try to keep as much of that original paint on it as you can. The patina look is very cool.

Thanks, Im going to try a few methods Ive heard about to keep original paint, wetsand, paint removers, buff etc. I have to clean up the interior first, the lady wont ride in a dirty bug!

I love 63's. Id forget the whole original paint stuff. Go herbie and add a sunroof or go like a light champain color. myself Id go yellow with black wheels  oh thats maybe been done allready ;D |

Congrats! Sweet ride, I'd also leave the paint as much stock as possible. Get with Vdub63 and start a 63' only club? With in the Good Volks, of course.

There was a replacement pan section already patched in. I cleaned up some welds on it and welded a little more. Ill seam seal and paint it tomorrow. Good enough until i can do pan halves. Ill have to get my digital camera out again but pics!   |
