Group Australian acsessory buy.

Hi, Kevin from Chicago south western burbs. Im ordering a Australian visor from Melburg and have spoke with the guy and shipping is not cheap ($70). So I am seeing if I can organize a group buy to reduce the cost of shipping them here. At this point I see that he has Both mesh and solid steel along with Aussie style side window rain gaurds, fender skirts, and interior blinds (rear and sides). For Bugs/busses/and type 3's also.

I was told if we can get at least 4 (maybe a mix of other things?) visors the price will be discounted 15%, and shipping will go lower the more is ordered. I will require a full deposit of the price of the part and the percentage of shipping to place anyones order. I am a member of Harshwinters and also posting a similar thread there, I posted one here because I thought there may be some interest and you guys are somewhat local, and be able to pick it up pretty easily. I would be willing to meet in western Indiana to relay the parts at no extra cost. I am doing this in the interest of both helping others get visors at a decent shipping price, along with myself. I am not making money, just trying to save some.

I am going to wait till this coming weekend to submit the parts list for a shipping qoute (if theres enough interest). At that point once I get the qoute I will need the agreed to price to place the order. I figure the money can be paypal'd ( I need the total price to send ) and I will place the order once all money is recieved. I will be looking to do cheapest shipping as possible so Im not going to rush them in. At this point I am not sure what a delivery time will be but will ask. The company has a great reputation for qaulity and customer service. This is a first for me so bear with me if you have questions and I will work to get them answered, you can also ask the company any questions about the products as they will know much better than I will and I will be asking them anyways. lol.

Hopefully we get some people interested and that will follow through and help get these for a decent price.

Just a Note on Kevin ;D He's a Great Guy to deal with and I've been to his Place,Just to let You Guys know He's not a Scammer,I've seen Those Visors and would like one for the VolkRod but Their Just out of my price range ,That shipping ain't bad coinsidering it's on the other side of the Planet ;D,I paid that for 2 unboxed Slicks from Cail :oThanks,Madmike

Thank you Mike, your feed back is appreciated. How'd those carbs work? Did they go on anything yet?

I realize the price isnt bad, but figure if others want similar parts, maybe we can get this going. Ive got one other party interested so far, local to me.

I think it would be neat to get the front mesh visor for the front of the Bus. When the idea and pictures were shown to Wifey she turned it down. She also turned down the idea of a cool custom front bumper / guard.

Its Wifey's Bus but she will never admit it.

Its ok though my funds need to be spent on the engine and interior.

Hey Kevin,Those 40 IDF's are Awesome I had them on the Red 917 and then switch them to Primed one(I sold the Red917),Once dialed in i'm getting anywhere from 40-50+mpg depending on my right foot ;DThanks,madmike

Probably around 25 mpg then. I've seen and heard how you drive remember?

Good to hear, how bad did they look inside? I assume they were just dirty from sitting with gas in em and dried up also from sitting. I rember the one accel pump was shot. Good to hear though. That engine got sold off.

I bought one of those for my dad a few years ago for his Birthday. They are super nice visors! I think I paid like $275 for it then looks like the price hasn't changed much. Its on the "Splash" Bug so I am sure you've seen it before
