!@%$^&* Garage doors

Anyone in the club an ace with garage doors, last year we(with help of some members of the club) hung the door on Ruffuss' barn and every thing went fairly smooth, decide to put the other door up myself, got it hung and the track up and leveled. Went to wind the torsion and every turned to poo!!!!!!! cables came off. Redid and the only way I can get the door to go up is with a lot of lifting and swearing, then when get past a certain spot the door moves up with out to much effort, then you let go of it, it unwinds the cables and free falls to the ground or I can't get the door up at all. This is a 9x7 steel door and shouldn't be that hard I thought. I've been messing with this for a week now. Turned the torsion, switched the end wheels re did the cables, leveled and releveled the track, before the hammer get some exercise,please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
