All the peanut butter was still on the traps this morning and there were no new friends awaiting my arrival. Things are looking up!

I think it's time for me to swing by and take a look to see how it is going now. Any thing you want me to bring over?

That spare 1600 DP you have in your garage would be pretty nice!

All livestock have been extricated! For a grand total of seven. The Bug is in the garage, the rear bumper has been removed, and the wheels are now off as well. That being said, I think the wheels are going back on and its coming off the jacks tomorrow so I can get the axle nuts loose! Being stupid is a lot more work than thinking it through! Thanks to Dave T. I now have a new set of floor pans and the back package tray section from is 67 chop project. Thanks Dave! Next step, strip it down! With nothing soft left in the interior, it's starting to smell a lot better as well ;D

Well, It's been a great day for the 67. To set the stage, last weekend I got the entire interior removed. There is no more soft material inside the car. I rolled it into the garage put it up on jack stands, and took off the bumpers. Then I made a really good phone call: Hey Steve (Teamafx), can you come over and play today? "I'll be there", was the answer. Well, when Steve rolled in, The bug looked like the pic above. First thing was the fenders, and the trunk. Next up was to remove the doors. How bout if we cut out the glass? Have at it Steve. I think he likes cutting things up. Time to stop for lunch. We started at 8:30 in the morning, this is where we were at noon. We stopped for lunch and headed over to see Steve's Dad (my father-in-law), he had back surgery yesterday and we stopped in to say hello. Well an hour and a half later, we were thinking we should pull the engine. We slapped each other on the back for a nice days work and cleaned up. However, Steve is a slave driver. He pulls out his phone and discovers he still has some time before he has to be back. He gives me the look. You know, the "do you want to pull the body off" look. How can I say no to that. Well an hour and a half later: It was 5:20 in the evening when I took the last couple of pictures! I am tired, and very happy. Not bad for a few hours work. Thanks a bunch Steve. Like I said, It was a great day for the little 67. I am off and running. And yes, it is sitting on four plastic buckets.

Wow, you guys sure set the bar high. I can probably make a good estimate of how long mine will take -- one Happy Camper month = 1 Ed year. ;D

Yep, the brakes have all been switched out. I don't quite know what to do about those either. I haven't gotten into it much, but the PO says they were from a Ghia. I see the rear drums have been switched to a four lug instead of the standard wide five for that year. I don't know what shape they are in. Can you get rebuild kits for the Ghia calipers? I will know more after I get them apart.

Alright, don't be too impressed everyone. It was a bunch of work for one day for sure, but we were very lucky with how well things came apart. Every pan bolt came loose but one! Every door screw came loose but one, and I drilled that out and at the last second, the screw spun free and I even saved the threads on the mounting plate! Every fender bolt came loose but two. These were the two front fender bolts that are accessible from under the hood. So it sounds impressive, but we were very fortunate.

Don't let "Camper" fool you! Its a 4 day project for any one to do what "I" did in one day. As you can tell from all the pics I did ALL the work! You didn't see me standing around taking pics.
OK truth is... the car is in great condition and that's what made 99% of the work go so quickly. I also only helped Scott did most of the work.
