Yellow Beetle (std??) at Meijer on Columbia

Pulling out of my parking space in the truck (normally I would take a Ghia to Meijer) I spotted a gentleman and his daughter loading the front of their yellow bug. I think it was a std (us Ghia guys have difficulty telling stds. from supers) but it had very nice EMPI 8-spokes.

I didn't have any club cards in the truck, but I gave him one of my cards and pointed out the website and ORDERED him to join tonight when he got home, so hopefully, we'll have a new member soon.

299? 300? I told him there was no prize for being the 300th member other than great free advice and camaraderie... so if he turns up as a new member, let's try to keep him fooled for awhile... in other words, be on your best behaviour until it's too late for him to change his mind.

Seemed like a nice guy. HEY!!!! He drives an air-cooled!!!! Of course, he's a nice guy.

Saw him again last night at 20th & Highland - chased him up to Goguac. He said he'd signed up for the club, so must be one of the recent members.

Hello everyone, that would me my yellow bug and it's a 73 Super. I really did join the club. I think this is my first post.
