Hello everyone. I am getting back into the VW scene after about 25 years. I had 3 bugs when I was younger, 2 supers and a baja. I just bought a 1970 that my son and I are going to make into a baja. It's good to find a club in Michigan even though its on the other side of the state from me. I'm not too far from Frankenmuth and I see you guys are up there on occasion so maybe I can meet up with the club every once in a while. I am about half way between Flint and Pontiac. I will check out the other areas of the forum to see what there is. I'm hoping there is someplace to post questions. I am getting ready to take the body off the pan and have never done that before so I may end up posting a bunch of questions.
Glad I found the club web site and look forward to meeting people on the forums.

Welcome, we have a few members from your side of the State, we're not all West siders. Anyway there is a members project and tech sections you can ask questions from there. Glad your back into air-cooled VW's, and found us.

Welcome from the West Side! It sounds like you are jumping back in with both feet! Good luck with your father/son project. Use the tech section, ask, ask, ask! I myself have removed a few bodies, and I'm sure a few others on here have as well, so, you shouldn't have to look far for help. Also, we love pictures around here so don't hesitate to put some up along the way.
