How?
Just kidding
What I was thinking about doing was to rewire my reverse lights on my Bus.
Yes I can run it stock but what is the fun in that? Also I hate the way VW uses the same terminal as the Coil.
Here is what I want to do I would like to run the reverse light through the existing switch on the transmission nose cone. Then I want to wire in an override switch on the dashboard.
Why?
To relieve me of the pesky tail-gaters.
See dark road jerk on my tail so close I can't see their headlights. I just simply flip the switch on my dashboard turning on my reverse light. Just to WAKE-UP the driver behind me.
Would this mod get me in trouble with the law? Or really piss off the guy behind me way to much to put me in a very bad spot?
I have tried the friendly brake light tap, but I just want something more intense.

It would be cheaper in the long run to just build a 2332 Turbo with fuel injection. ;D OK, maybe not cheaper, but a lot more fun when the idiot tailgater can't keep up with the poor old VW bus.

Illegal and might result in a fireball or red/blue lights in the rear view mirror. However the spot lights of a patrol car can be quickly blinked to get the tailgating high-beams to stop burning the back of your neck. Highly polished blinds or decorative rear panels might send the message as well. Spotlight bulbs and aircraft landing lights are the same configuration. The MI state patrol spots made the 50W to 130W upgrade.

Put a Porsche flat-6 in it like that guy from TX last w/e at Martin....
I like 'tarrich's idea. Or, maybe just a suitable bumper sticker: "WARNING! Brake lights inoperative"
(Boy, Kenn! I'm glad you're on MY side!)
