OK, here is the final plan.
We are meeting at the Beadle Lake Road Exit. off of I-94 at 8:00am. This is just east of Battle Creek. Exit # 100. There is a park and ride on the north side of the highway. We will leave cars there and ride to the show in my van.
So for AJ, Steve, Rudy and I are going. I have seats for 6 comfortable and 8 on the tight side.
Let me know if you plan to join us so we know to wait for you.

YES! I would like to go but am still not confident enough in the Blue 'vert for a trek this long by myself (broke my accelerator cable last night!), so would want to caravan. Also want to go to Kokomo the following week (Friday afternoon and perhaps Saturday).

Well, bring that Baja down to Battle Creek and we'll caravan over - sure we find one or two others....

OK, it looks like we have a BC-Toledo caravan of 'yankeespeed', Art, Bren, AJ, 'dubfreak1'(but not sure where he's from) and perhaps 'teamafx'. So that's 5, maybe 6. Sounds like fun - remember, Bren said with that video he posted a week or so ago, that we should do stuff like this - I agree!!!

That would make 7 - more the merrier...
Are any of these guys EAST of I-69? I'm wondering if we should take I-94/US-23 or I-69/I-80-90. There's a lot of work going on on I-94 between here and AA - it's a little white-knuckled at times, even in the truck.
So if no one's east of 69, I say we take 69 to the turnpike.

I'm trying to get free for Toledo as well. I haven't seen where it is yet, but I'll check it out in the next day or so.
I was just down 80/90, and it's fine. I-94 is also fine early in the morning, so as long as everybody is through before 9:00, it's also fine. I was through there late last week, and Dorothy was through there Saturday morning at around 11:00 and it was O.K. other than a backup due to a SUV rollover/fire that had traffic backed up a bit while people rubbernecked. This was also a football Saturday, but a later game time.
Shouldn't be an issue either way.

What I would suggest would be either 131 or 69 South then route 20 East.
I traveled a lot between Cleveland OH and Goshen IN. When I first started my trips I drove the toll road and it is just boring. Then I ventured to Route 20 it was a much more enjoyable drive but I normally take the bypass around Toledo. If you miss the bypass you drive straight through Toledo on Route 20. I still need to confirm with a map where the show in Toledo its located.
Route 20 is just a simple 2 lane road that travels through rural towns. It takes a bit longer than the toll road but to me its worth it.
Later on my travels from Cleveland to Goshen I traveled on Route 6. Now that is a really fun road. Someday everyone should drive their VW's on Route 6. I have driven both my Bus and Ghia on Route 6.
131 south is a nice simple road but it may be to far west for everyone. If you want I can look at a map to find a 2 lane road south between I94 and Route 20.

I think everyone on the tentative caravan list has to go through Battle Creek anyway - with the possible exception of 'yankeespped' who I believe is in Charlotte, which wouldn't be that far out of the way for him either. I'm familiar w/ M-66 and would be happy to lead the group into IN and let AJ take over for US-6/20. We can all meet at my house for breakfast but you guys have to do the dishes. (now just watch; 7 will become 20 since I've offered a free breakfast!).
