hello just saying hi! ive got a 71 ghia autostick and a sand rail. im am totally noob to terms and such with aircooled parts but very well mechanically inclined.

i did not know that thread was about silver lake! i went last year when i bought this sand rail. had one hell of a first day with it. got lost at dawn. started the rail the next day and my t/o bearing disintegrated. long story short the engine is back together and my fingers are crossed. just need to get a new fork and bushing set for my t/o bearing and ill be ready to go. i would love to go again with someone experienced. it was my first time . and got stuck many times. i had so much fun!

the ghia needs body/electrical work. i believe the gen is dead and i need to re-run a ground for the servo circuit. other then that she can go a LONG way on a fully charged battery(found out the hard way)
