I was running 19-20 lbs. Last pass I dropped it to 15lbs. Unfortunately they ran a pro tree on me and my reaction time was awful as I did not expect it at all. 3rd pass of the day was my best for the season so far 14.1313 at 88.53mph in the 1/4. Thanks for the photos Steve! |

Thanks to everyone who came out to support US131 Motorsports Park. It was great to have Bugs, Buggies, and Buses running down the track and parked in the pit area.
Fastest reaction time award went to Mike with a .0602 narrowly edging out Bren's .0613. Now that's great competition!
There were some real problems with oil downs from other competitors and the lanes were shut down for extended periods twice and one other significant period. There was also another group (FAST) running that had rented the track and were in their eliminations. The two situations together limited the number of runs we could make, but it was still great fun. It was also great to see the FAST muscle cars. The staging lanes were like a nostalgic car show.
We need to increase participation in this event. The Bug Runs are very important to our club and we need to make sure that hosting these events are profitable for the track. They are a business and we need to make them SEE a reason to continue. A poll will be started to check if all of you would prefer the current mid-Oct Saturday or perhaps a mid-Sept Wednesday night. Please PM me if you have any other suggestions to improve participation. Thanks.
