I just picked up an 82' Mexico bug. What I need help with is everything on it isn't like US bugs. It has older type stuff on it like swing arms not IRS. Is there anywhere I can find out what year US parts are the same as Mexico parts? Or will I just have to wing it?

Mexican bugs use the same basic components, just more randomly. German Bugs had king pin front ends until '65, '66 and up had ball joint front end, with '66 and part of '67 being 5 lug bolt pattern. Swingaxle rear was offered until '68, '69 and later is IRS. The Mexican cars tend to use a mix of whatever was leftover that day. As long as you know what you have, it shouldn't be too hard to find any needed parts.
