I picked up my Baja kit this weekend, How do I take the springs off the trunk latches?

I believe you are talking about taking the springs off the hinges so as not to harm the fiberglass with the constant pressure of the hinges trying to "open" the hood.

I've been told you can cut some of the spring off then reinstall them. Then it will at least hold the hood up when you are working under it, but not have enough power to hurt the fiberglass. Or there's always the old proprod trick.
