I was on the samba the other day and they are getting a group together to make a two track run. Some time in the next month out of Gladwin. The rails must be street legal, and it looks to be alot of fun. If my car was fixed I would be going. There is also the mounds by flint. Been there wasn't that impressed. I have also been told of a off road park up by St Hellens, MI. It looks like alot of fun also. I think we might check that one out this year.

mounds are cool but by the time you by a gen county parks and rec sticker and an orv your out 50 bucks to get in the gate. ill spend that and go trail riding an hour north for free.
we go 3-4 times a year and run the saint helen/houghton lake logging trail system during camping trips. memorial day my wife and i are taking a single buggy run up around vanderbelt.

Trail riding is what I want to try eventually. Where can I get more info on the trails like maps?

theres trail maps for orv/atv trails but the logging trails are pretty much unmapped unless they show up from a satalite,
comercial forest land/logging company property is open to the public in michigan to camping and secratary of state registered vehicle trail riding. theres 10x the logging trails in mich than there are quad trails.
no campgrounds for us. pick up a camp permit for free from the dnr post and off to the woods. dont see another sole all weekend! ;D ;D
