Thats such a sweet bus, love the tent/tents on both. You need to find someone who can sew and buy what ever tent you want and have them sew one up, maybe a canvas shop or something. They could use what material they cut out of the back for the opening, just have to match up something for the bottom.

I did something different yesterday , I was able to pull Westley all the way into the barn .
After selling off a pile of old Harley parts & a lot of time on the Red Ghia of Don's . I did some cleaning well more like a hole lot of cleaning . There now is room enough to walk all around the Bus and more .
It was time to work on my toy . I changed the oil & filter , and adjusted the valves . I found that most of the EX. valves were tight and the IN. were loose . But not bad for not doing it for 21,000 miles , I need to stop doing the hop in & go .
Found an oil leak on the breather box that I need to fit (gasket) , I already had valve cover gaskets .
I replaced my heater blower fan motor from the 79 bus due to the 76 blower motor was dogging out & popping the fuse .
And I worked on the inside , got some different speakers that work a hole lot better than the broken ones . I can drive down the road and hear the radio . No Amp. or Boom Box just OEM with $25.00 Speakers .
Then I started to clean the inside of the Bus wiped down all the wood , and Armoraled the sides of the seats side panels & dash & rubber mats around the seat base . Had some foam material cleaner that I tried on my front carpet and worked pretty good .
Also found a rattle under the drivers seat area , it was the upper shock mounting bolt that was loose .
Running Good & sounding Good .

I did a lot of driving this weekend and the sound system work good . But I'am starting to get a light pull to the Right , time to check allinement .
Also I have a chatter in my shifter , the tranny seams to be fine . I'm not sure on this one .

Does a bus use a shift rod bushing like a bug does? If so that would be worth replacing.

The shifter and stop plate were out of adjustment , I'll do a test drive this morning .

glen, there are shift bushings, (plastic) they wear-out like crazy. somebody is repopping them, but i can't think who. let me think on it.

I was asked about the rubber mat around the seat . You can buy inner & outer sections , but if you a swivel seat on the right side the inner rubber will be short by about 4 inches in the back area . I bought an extra and cut a section out of it and used spray glue to mount .  |
