I just bought the 76 bus last weekend after looking at them for 20+ years. I couldn't be more excited to drive, except there are NO brakes and I don't know where to begin. I have worked on Chevy trucks my whole life and this is new to me. Help - anyone?

Welcome to the Goodvolks!! If youve done rear drum brakes on a chevy youve kinda done em on the bus except the adjusters are manual (easier to install). Your going to have a good time this summer with the bus!!

The problem is the fronts, they are nothing like your Chevys. They have 2 separate pistons one for each brake pad. Actually they are still simpler just not what you are use to. The hardest part is compressing the pistons I just use a large set of channel locks on each side because you can't use the c-clamp method to push the piston back into the cylinder.
