Ruffuss Rebuild

Well, sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Things have been busy for me. I hope everyone is well. I now have the heads ported and reassembled and Ruffuss short block put together next will be to tail fit the long block and make sure that all the valves are sealing and figure out push rod length. Then I can start the final assembly. Here is a look at Ruffuss heads.

Here is a shot of my push rod/arrow cutter.













I like to use two old valve guides when installing the push rod end. This helps to keep from damaging the push rod ends.

Here is a look at my starter and housing that I use to start engines on my stand. I use the bolt that runs on the top of the start to help hold it to the engine stand when not in use then there is a thin stud at the bottom where I stick the two 17mm nuts to before putting the housing in its storage place.

Here is the electrical box with the ignition switch and starter button. The throttle lever really didn't work all that well.

It must just make you itch not to just put it in the car. Having it that far and just so close to going in. Looking good!

THANKS CLINTON< I got a delivery this just afternoon. Engine looks better in person then the pictures. Going to make a trip to Georges for a oil lines, filter mount, new clutch and presure plate before putting this big/bad dog in Ruffuss. Anyone want to help? Clinton also suggested rejetting the idle and main and a breather will have to look into those also. You would know it is HOT and MUGGY!!
