I recently discovered a show called "American Pickers" on the History Channel. It is about two guys who pick through people's "stuff" to see if they can find any treasures (they resell it through their business in Iowa). I've watched two episodes, and noticed they have a single cab parked next to their shop. I went to their webiste hoping to find more info (no such luck), but did find this video of their discovery of a split window bus. It's funny (beware of some foul language): www.antiquearcheology.com/vwvideo.htm

Hello. I also watch the show. Its neat to walk into someones barn or sheds or land and find so many things with history. I also did see that vw at the main office too. I am sure if you do the homework and know how much stuff is worth you could make a living doing it.

The single cab used to belong to a member of the Aircoolers Gang in Fort Worth TX. (Aircoolers.org started in Austin TX and spread through TX and LA. I got involved with the Aircoolers in Baton Rouge.)
Anyways, I wish it was a better story but he just put it on the Samba and Mike Wolfe bought it. Still, it must be cool to see your old car on TV.

My wife and I enjoy that show as well. That single cab is pretty sweet too. Benj
