Boy Erik, I'm getting more jealous every time I check in and look at this thing! Looks great! Amazing the progress you're making in such a short time. Ready by Spring? Spring...doubt it....Summer? Sure hope so. Hoping for May / June..once body mods and paint is done (maybe 4 weeks or so) I will still have to - 1) Install Engine / trans 2) Install suspension (uncluding air ride set upo, lots of air lines and wires..) 3) Install complete 4 wheel disc brakes 4) Install all new wiring harness, gauges, and all other electrical....lights, stereo, etc. 5) Install interior lots to do.....

I'm so thrilled with how the roof has turned out. Look at the perfect curve in the roof. This is with 4" upfront and approx 2" at the B pillar -

Passenger side mirror mount and door top. I also had bearings pressed into rotors and installed rotors and calipers onto spindle & strut assembly. Just need to figure out strut bearing for air strut.

Thanks Guys. I'd be lying if a small part in the back of my mind isn't thinking about a possible HVW spread. My main motivation and inspiration is that I've owned the car since I was 14, and although it was in great shape, it was an ugly, bastard 73 Super Beetle (in some minds, not mine ;D) and I wanted to show that even a Super could be made into something above and beyond.
The wheels are just my old Centerlines. I'm leaning toward a stock chrome w/ hubcab up front and stock deepdish w/ hubcap rear like my concept.
