Dustin, good eye on the turn signals. Actually they are still absent. I had planned on putting led's in the headlight assemblys, but never found any that I liked(yet). They are my next priority. I got so excited about getting the car done, and driving that I wanted to enjoy the last couple months of nice weather.

Ah ok, How do you like the bumpers with the turn signals in them? But you have the shock bumpers so the openings are different. You would have to fill the gaps in the fenders with the European gaskets from CSP. I have seen headlights that have a spot for them. Many options out there.

Dustin, thanks for the info. I do like the bumpers with the turn signals in them. I have considered this as an option. One of the things that I love about VW's is that there are so many places to purchase parts. I have a couple good places locally that I can get some stuff, and the amount of internet availble parts is almost overwhelming.

Yep support those local businesses first, There are so many VW parts suppliers its unreal but this is a very popular car.

Another '76 owner and I are planning (weather permitting) to attend the Baker's show this weekend. You ought to come on over for it.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The previous owner put alot of time into this car, but then kind of lost intrest, never really finished it, then it sat for a while. I was more than happy to take it over and get it back to road worthy.
Bill, I am going to be out of town this weekend(Salmon fishing) or else I would certainly take a run up to Baker's. One of these days we will both make it to the same show, I really want to see your ride.
