howdy folks,
signed up last december but sold my bug but look at your site all of the time and finely decided to say hi and that i think your club is awsome, and i and my girlfriend both have your shirts and wear them often. i've been messing with these great little cars since 1973 and have owned 36 beetles in that time. i have a few parts for sale and am looking for an old bug to make a rat rod out of and not sure how to use the classified site but will try to figure it out. hope to hear from some of you other vw nuts. hope all had a happy thanksgiving ! gary

my name is gary and at the present time i don't own a bug first time in 35 years but i'm looking every day for the right one. my last one was a 79 brown convertible and sold it due to finances to a couple in the muskegon area and thought i might see it at us131 dragway this fall when i was there but no luck. i've been going to almost every event in michigan since they've started and love going to every one of them. i have to say it is the greatest feeling being around other vw nuts you guys are the greatest bunch of people there are. last fall i bought a pink 72 beetle from cali for my 25 year old daughter who lives in big rapids and put colored daiseys all over it and she loves it so much that i sold my convertible to buy it for her and fix it up so she could have her own for she has loved them just as much as i do. i also picked up a 73 automatic for my nephew which he has also got bitten by the bug. i'm looking to make a rat rod to put a fiberglass hood that i've owned now and have had it on a 66 bug that is a one of a kind devils face and think it would be real cool for that kinda project. not looking to spend a ton of money on it for i'm in the process of building a new house so funds are limited. i also have some parts to sell which i took to martin this fall and had some low ball prices but no buyers. no need to respond to this just wanted to throw this around to you all and to just say hello to you all and hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving and hope you all have a great x-mas season. keep up the great work on this club cause i think you are all great people and are doing a fantastic thing to represent this great little automobile. take care all! gary
