just a shot in the dark but could it be a steering wheel bushing.

Looks like a rear main seal on a flux capacitor.

Thanks for all the GREAT responces... I will be on the $amba and some scientic site tring to $ell it for some BIG $$$$$$ I would think a gen/alt bushing.. It was in the box of gen brushes.. Thanks everyone... ;D Dave T
