Hi,

I'm the proud owner of a 70 vert ghia. It was given to me. Had a few bugs (3) when I was younger so now I'm regaining my comfort level with the inner workings again. Not much has changed in 30 years. I'm adjusting valves, carburetor, fixing electrical problems and worn upholstry just like the good ol days. Funny thing is I'm liking it. I sure love that smell and the sound.

I'm located in Jenison so looking around for the local team of VW DIY's. Looks like I found em.

Welcome, Mike, I also drive a convertible but mine is a yellow type 181 Thing, named Ruffuss. He has a long history with me and is not for sale for any price, need anyone ask. Again welcome to our group hope to met you in person in the near future, in to racing? Come join us at Formula K in Mattawan(exit 66, off I-94) west of Kalamazoo, for some rubbing and racing on the 24th at 2pm. It's going to be a hoot. Later Kenn

I'm AJ I drive a Chevy Truck now, soon my Ghia will be out driving around but never finished. Sorry its a hard top no vert for me. The problem is that I have all the parts now but too much stuff keeps me from finishing it.

That sounds like fun. Unfortunately on the way home from work my passenger door flew open this week. The door latch mysteriously self destructed. I'm eagerly waiting the replacement and hope to be fixing that along with the new ignition switch I ordered.
