Starter in this bus is kicking my a$$. So I bought a new one. And guess what... still working like poo. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Not sure what is the problem. There Is the main + terminal that I hooked the three big wires to. Then there is the push on... now on the new starter there is 2 different push ons...one on each side. Ive tried both. One does nothing at all (not even a click) the other spins the starter but does not engage the solinoid. I dont thing the other push on does the solinoid either. Im tempted to get another starter from somewhere else and start over. After removing the starter 4 times Im getting good at it but Im also getting ticked off. I may have to ignor the veh for a few days. IM SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE!!!!!

ITS ((((((((((ALIVE)))))))))))) Figures its on holloween. The bus now has a name.... SPOOKY I like it. Anyway spookey was being a real roal PIA about the whole starter/battery issue. So I finally got out the sandpaper and started sanding lots of connections. VIOLA it starts and runs. (((YEA))) anyway it starts and runs great (it is allys motor after all) but does not Idle. Me thinks the old pict solex needs a rebuild or sumthing. Accelerator pump works well and all. Im going to look at all those vacuum connections I blocked off and see if there is a loose one (I allready know if one loose one but Im taking a break). Its been a long road on this one. Hopefully it does not need a rebuild on the carb cuz Im really not in the mood. I really want to work on the 2276 project. |
