Hi Folks, I am Todd Swangstu from Toledo Ohio and the GTVWC. I have been into vws since the late `80s and I am actively involved with Not-A-VW club in Michigan and the the GTVWC GreaterToledoVolksWagenClub since the start which is close to 20 years now! I am into early beetles and VW Westfalia campers. I ran a restoration shop for several years. I still do single jobs on occasion and my own cars when I get the chance. Everything is done by myself from welding, body and paint to interior and all mechanical. Here is a few pictures of some of my cars and work done. `51 split sunroof beetle about 1997 `50 split beetle 2000 `62 Westfalia so-34 before and after 2007 I am back into camper buses hardcore right now but still love the old beetles. I also wanted to let folks know about the Toledo Show coming up September 20 2009! Here is a link to the GTVWC yahoo page with info autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/toledovwclub/I met a few of the Good Volks at the Ft Wayne show, nice people! Hope to see you guys at other shows and events in the future. Todd

Nice to meet you all too! You guys have a nice web site here and very helpful folks. I look forward to making it up to your show this coming year I have heard great things about it! `62 Westfalia so-34 before and after 2007 Wow I am impressed!!! and I thought my Bus looked ruff. Yes that bus was HORRIBLE. The worst I have ever done. If you see in that pic the redish brown panels are all new...so it was actually even worse then that picture shows. One big issue was the bus is a flipseat westfalia and there is no bulkhead behind the driver seat as you can see, so when the bus rotted there was nothing holding the sides onto the bus. You could pull them away from the bus and they would just flap loosely! The only thing holding the roof on was the 3 small windshield pillars in the front and the 2 rear corners! It turned out well though it was a BIG welding job, it is a fairly hard to find bus with a real odd ball body so it was worth saving her. Todd
