Well I was at work "slogging out oil changes on buicks" 
when this gal comes up to me asking me if Im the VW guy. I of course say yes and she told me a story of how her Sis bought a fiber fab 356 kit car and after driving it like 20 times the motor had fragged and the old motor was taken out by her dad and then husband and a new motor purchased then her dad died and her husband became an ex husband... it was all put in a corner and sat for 2 years while all this "stuff" sorted itself out. The sis of the owner wanted to give her a nice B day present and knew how much she wanted the car running again. I of course offered to repair it after looking at it. For a car sitting 2 years it was in pretty good shape. A little smelly thoughl. Anyway I got the motor in tonight and should have it running sat. Here are some pics.
This place is crawling with barn cars. No none of them are for sale.

??? Yikes,That really bugs me when I see guys buy and install 'replacement' bus carbs on a really 'nice' car or bus,I see it all the time in Mags and at Shows,I finally talked a freind up here to switch to a pair of webers, and I ask him "can he tell the difference" all he said was 'WOW"!!!!! Dan you think it runs good now?? When the linkage takes a $hit get her some 40 IDF's
