I got an invitation yesterday for the - Parade on Saturday , October 3 @ 3:00 pm. . Theme: "Once Upon a Time!" so to start a Sign up let me know .

Back in the day of being in an other vw club, we were un-invited to this event after several years of participation . i guess they must have changed their minds again. I will plan on being there, not to far from where i live. Benj

Is this an invitation for a set number of cars?
Last year I wanted to go, made arrangements for my Grandson to ride along, got permission from the Police Dept for my Grandson to ride in the front seat along the parade route,
AND THEN
found out: No there is a limit on cars and you can't go
SO
I canceled arrangements for my Grandson to visit. (Fortunately we had not told him anything about this)
AND THEN
Found out, "oh, yeah you can go" I was so______ by then that I wrote the whole thing off
SO: What's the story on this year? Is there a limit? Is there a sign-up sheet?

After the way things went with event last year I decided I am no longer interested in particpating in this event.

It was fun last year I have never been in a parade before so it was quite an experience. If someone better is in charge this year and takes out the guessing it may be a lot of fun.

If no one else got an Entry Form , maybe they only want me . We did have 7 last year & I had a BLAST . I can try to find out about more cars if anyone wants , But I felt a cold chill in the air .

I live in Zeeland and have been in the local parade a few times. Their Memorial day parade is a hoot!! VERY BIG!! I haven't made it to the Pumpkinfest parade yet, but plan to this year. I usually drive the Mini in the parade. Hope to see everyone there!!

Dustin, you are probably right. If we had someone getting it better organized from the start it would be much better. Last minute trying to clean things up did not help matters last year.
Anyone want to take this on a coordinate for the club?
By the way Glen, I got an invitation too.

I just called , We are welcome to return this year . I will fill out the form for the GoodVolks , and with a start of 8 cars like last year . I do not know about any issues last year , PM me with them and I will try to fix them or avoid them for this year . I will hold off for a few days to get this info . Thank You . Glen

Glen with you in charge I am not affraid of issues. Last year we were left to find out where we had to go and when we had to be there and if we were in fact 100% in the parade as the people who "set" it up do not have cell phones and did not meet us at BK like we discussed.
V8Square the weekend of August 30th is a great time for a road trip!
