Hi. I'm Tom and live in Ballwin(St.Louis)Missouri and am new to this site. I have been around VW's for many,many years with the purchase of my 1st new one in June of 1965. That's right, 1965. Now you can get an idea of how old I am. Currently, I have a 1969 2.0,914 powered Bug that my oldest son and I built as a father/son project when he was a senior in highschool. He will be 36 Thursday. My current project was to be a father/son project with my youngest son, but he lost interest at an early age. He is 31 years old. The project, a '69 Squareback has been in my garage for many years. I decided to do something with it. It is a tube chassis,Mustang II front suspension, sbc350/330 hp, 700R4 trannie hooked to a narrowed 9"Ford, 4:11, triangulated 4-bar rear end. Ought to be a good little grocery getter for my wife, wouldn't you agree? If you would like, I can post some photos as I am always ready to show off my project.
