OK I realized I needed to get this posted asap! I have been slacking a little. We decided at dinner from the July GTG we would have our next meeting in South Haven at the Back To The 50's Drive-In. We have met at this place before its its a nostalgic and fun place. I am hoping to fill it up on both sides so a picture can be taken to add to next years calendar. When looking at the show calendar August 22nd is our best time. The week before is the Old Fort VW Clubs show and the following Sunday is the Harsh Winters VW Clubs Bug - A - Palooza then the next Sunday after is the Fall Bug Run.

It waited to start raining here until I was doing butt time on the tractor, seems to be clearing though. Bren, John and AJ are meeting here at or around 3:45 see ya all. Later Kenn

i just got home from the event,my first gtg. I had a great meal,and meet a bunch of nice folks. i will make a better attempt to attend these kind of functions. thanks for making me feel welcome as part of the group.all my best,Paul

Rained off and on all the way home then cleared and hasn't rained since, pavement was dry between house and garage.
Good food, great time talking to everyone and holding my grand-daughter( she sleep through most of it and won a t-shirt from the diner's raffle). Nice to meet and talk to Paul and look at his buggy up close(he and Dustin drove buggys) A real HOOT!. Later Kenn

It spit rain on my pretty much until I-96. Sadly, I had to put the top up. I found out that if I raise both side windows, it causes severe buffeting of the convertible boot, and I was afraid that I might tear it or loose it.
Other than that, it was a great time. The top was never up on the way, and I never got wet. I just pulled up under the canopy of the diner.

I am so bummed I missed the GTG ((sniff sniff)) I miss you all. But at least I got another air cooled VW back on the road, and possibly added a member (we will see if she shows up).
