It's cool your wife wants to learn to drive the Bug it has to be the easiest car to learn on too.

Did some test driving today down some nice country roads after retiming Ally and readjusting the brakes. After the test drive I may have decided to do valves tomorrow (which means the timing gets redone again ). The brakes feel WONDERFUL!!! Big improvement.

Drove the 68 to the end of the driveway. First time it has moved under its own power in probably 15years or so. Engine seems to run real well and I was able to short shift to get into 3rd gear and all 3 were good and shifted good.

I drove the 1970 Bus home for the first time yesterday. Then I drove it to pick up breakfast for my wife.

15.329 @ 85.84 MPH with a .0031 reaction time. I thought I blew the trans on the line, but, it turned out that the tires on Blu are made of a rare form of ice rubber that Wham-o has been expermenting with for their new "slip and slide"

Wow! Glorious day out there today. I took the Puma out today, dropped the top, and away I went. Used for a couple of appointments, gathered a small crowd of ne'er-do-well young boys in Haslett, visited the state capital downtown, which brought out a small group of very cute young ladies, :-) and then headed out for my final appointment in Mason. Almost 75 miles before I returned.
Fast trip on the highway, but the pig of plastic, (Puma) does seem to get pushed around a bit at high speed with very strong crosswinds. Guess it's easy to do when it only weighs 1400 lbs. It does require a little concentration.
It's supposed to be nice the next few days, so I really want to get out and have one last ice cream cone before she goes away.
