Funny thing I was talking about this show with my Father yesterday. I went back in the mid 80's when I lived up there. I vaguely remember it. I heard that the show has grown huge since than. How far is the drive for you? Its 5 hours from Kalamazoo.

Good luck, young Grasshopper.
It has been said that a minute is like an hour in a Laser. Still, it will be a much nicer drive than to Lansing, and I will be willing to bet that there will be LOTS more cars.

I hope that it is MUCH cooler Saturday. 100 degrees here today in Lansing. My garage is almost dry, finally, but we are supposed to get thunderstorms tomorrow. Again.
Better then 1000 cars flooded in Ionia, however. After seeing a couple of cell phone photos, my soggy garage seems "quaint".
Seriously, you are a better man than I.
I can't imagine how "toasty" it will be on Saturday. It's supposed to get to almost 90 here. Still, when you are going Mach 3, I suppose heat doesn't get much of a chance to build with the gale-force winds through the thingypit, especially with the patented Laser 917 super duper flow-through ventilation. I have to admit, however, that the 105.6 square feet of glass that forms the front window might make it hot. A kiln comes to mind...
Thank God for central air.
Dave

John made it half way down to Effingham and back on a duct tape fuel pump last year and actually the rest of the show season Seems those new Brazilian pumps are common to have the pin fall out
