Now that the guy back out of buying my car I am going to go ahead with the fusch rims. I have a set of drums for the front of the super that have the 5x130 pattern and will be buying the set for the rear. I found some 17x7 inch fusch rims but need to know if I will need wider fenders. Depending on the offset of the rim I may have to go with 2" wider fenders. Do you think the wider fenders are necessary? Also, here is the link to the rim, take a look at the offset and let me know what you think. www.midlandwheels.com/Shop/P-195-7-x-17-Fuch-Polished---5x130.html

I have seen other Super's running 17" rims without wider fenders. IMO wide fenders look like crap on Super's. Maybe a little wider in the back but not too much. I do like the slightly flared fenders that are out there though. Why not go for the traditional 15" or 16" Fuch?
Edit: The 17" will look unbelievably sick thats why right? ;D

Wow a 7" inch rim up front is huge. I vote no on wider fenders. I say cut that pregnant dog up and make the first ever super that tucks. ;D

I would love it to tuck but I can't figure out how. I already have to do some body work in the wheel wells so cutting it up is not a big deal. How would you get them to tuck? You can not narrow the front end on a super. I have seen some shops that will take a rim and cut some of the middle out to make the rim more narrow. You think this is safe or works?

It looks to be nearly impossible without completely reworking the frontend somehow....either way its out of my league. If it could be done it would give the word "super" in super beetle a whole new meaning.

I have seen a posting in arizona where a couple of mini truckers did a deep tuck and slam on a super. I will see if I can locate the forum.

Man, that chicks not fat enough for you? LOL.
I vote yes on the Turtle backs, if you want to be different.
Fuchs are played out.

I like the full polished ones but the detailed ones are nice as well. Not sure which would look better though.
