Spotted a baby blue tub on Red Arroe Highway this afternoon. All I know is it is turbo charged as that is all I could see as he(I think) left me in cloud of smoke at the light at Mattawan Rd. with a pair of black marks telling me were he'd been. How neat is that. Kenn

Meet Randy today the owner of the baby blue tub. Yes it is turbo-charged, 2180cc/ 041 heads/ four barrel carb and a bus gear box. Towed him to a house off Red Arrow down 29th St. He says it had been real reliable until he sold it last night now it's broke and we couldn't figure it out right away until Ruffuss towed him home and I saw the coil wire hanging there. hooked it up and it fired to life. The buggy is headed for Ohio and Randy to Iraq, wished him the best and told him to keep in touch(he hasn't got a computer) gave him my last card and a flyer for the 7th but he ships out 5th. I wish him well and hope we see him home real soon, knowing how scarey it is fresh out of High school and headed to somewhere foreign not knowing what to expect and how the heck you got to that point. Thanks to him for serving and I hope he comes home safe! I have had 3 friends of mine over there and they have all come home and I hope Randy does as well.

Randy is home on leave, called this afternoon. He ships back out Monday morning to places unknown until he gets there. He has been home a couple of weeks, he can't say where he was or where he's going (Special Forces). Wished him the best, told him about Zeeland Pumpkin Parade. So if you all see a Marine in dress uniform(use to be Blues) giving you thumbs up, that will be him. Offer him lunch I'll pay you back next time I see ya. He will be looking to get back into the VW's in the fall of next year, when his tour is up. Told him we would HELP!!! if and when needed.

I believe every soldier is a hero... What they do is the hardest job on the planet. Some of us here at home forget about people like Randy. They give us the freedom to be able to enjoy life and be able to or VW's.... So thank you Ken and Thank you Randy as well as everyone who ever served our country...
