I took her around town here today. First run out a cop started to follow me from my driveway. I saw him waiting around the corner of the house for me to leave. I left and he started to follow, but got trapped by cars. I dont have any reason for him to pull me over anyways. Anyways.. everyone on the road was rubbernecking as I drove past. The lady at the Shell in town even came out to see what was on top of it. She was wondering if it was a para-scope. Haha. Good stuff.
The bad> Oil is starting to seriously drip out of the valve cover/back push rod area. Im starting to think its a bad push rod gasket in the back there. Ill look at it either right before work, or after work today. It wont impeed me from taking it.
Saturday here I come!

Sounds good, I'm looking forward to seeing it, it reminds of my old baja.

Took her to work today. It started blowing out oil from the pully. Not enough to worry about taking it tomorrow. It definitely will be a white knuckle ride down the expressway.

Over the last few days I have had to take the motor and transmission out, to get to the front mount, being that my old one was all play, and no support. So while figuring out how I was going to put it back together, I painted the transmission up. Then, after thinking about what you guys all said in the front mount thread, I just decided that I would build one of these. (My neighbor actually was the one who fabbed and welded it up) During the time, I proceeded to replace a bad rear crank seal. After pulling the flywheel off, my dad and I noticed that the flywheel is warped, and has actually ground the bolt up that holds it on, and a few other things that had been ground up by the flywheel. So now Im off to find a new or used flywheel.

Tranny looks good! Nice job on the front mount, it should work nicely.

So alot happened sense last update. I reworked all the brakes. It got new wheel cylinders and springs, and shoes in the front, and a new master cylinder for both. I also adjusted the rear brakes, and now have excellent brakes. ;D The 2 of the front lug studs broke off in the drum. I had to use a small chizzle and cut a slot for a screwdriver to unscrew the broken studs out. After taking those out, I put 10 brand new lugstuds in ;D I was out at the bad azz truck expo and won one of these. After the race I was free dragging against another VW baja, I broke the output shaft coming out of the super differential. (Gave him the goodvolks info, and told him about martin ) The good news is that my fiancee told me I can spend some money for this.... MMMM Look at the difference.. Now I just have to wait for my flanges and my driveshafts to be sent to me.

Lookie what I finally got installed today. ;D I have a small leak from both side covers where the output shaft comes though... I'll probably have to pick up some new seals this weekend at the bug run.
