Update , After new brushes and a Regulator then hooking a lot of wires the charging system is working . along with the rest of the lights , and a lighter I found under the dash is working , and a power windshield pisser is up & running . Next is the master cylinder brake light switches , 2 switches , 5 poles , 9 wires , no plugs all cut or rotted away . My print shows 6 poles . and then rear brakes and a wheel cylinder . Oh YA and a OIL LEAK , Bren I may need help with this the Owner says it leaks oil like your did.

Update , Brakes are in , Right rear wheel cylinder in , stop light switch in , Brake light working , Rear brakes need a little more adjusting . Now I pull out of the shop to test and to start checking for an oil leak . I stopped in the driveway to worm things up then I revved up the motor as if I were going down the road . I ran out of gas . Got back from town with gas and oil topped off the dip stick and started to test . Brought the RPMs up for maybe a min. and the GEN. light came on , shut right down to check , The V-belt was GONE . Found the belt a half hour or so latter 50 feet away next to the house in the flowers . This is the leakage when I ran out of gas . This is the only leak topside I can find so far . Short test lost belt .

Coming out of the dipstick? Perhaps to much oil pressure?

Where is the oil breather vented to? I have seen people plug the breather then oil comes out from behind the pulley.

glen, make sure that aftermarket dip-stick is marked correctly, you could be overfilling.

Now there's something to check out . The system does have a breather box , ( you can see it in photo ) and it hooked up to the fill port .
