OK, you know that little plastic insert that sits in you dash-pad around the "brake test" light? How do I get that out? (Mine is slightly off-kilter and I would like take it back out and position it correctly).

I did this last summer when I removed the dash pad on my '70, but can't remember what I did! I'll take a quick look tonight to see if my memory on the process returns.

I must be getting old--I cannot remember what I did to remove the switch! I seem to remember removing the fresh air duct from under the hood, which gave me access to the switch. I think you will need to squeeze the tabs on either side of the switch, then push it toward the interior of the car.
Anyone else do this recently, or have a better memory than me?

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Removing that hardware isn't too difficult.
