Hello to all from the greater metropolis of Fruitport! Long time VW fan, mostly with sand rails at Silver Lake, but getting into projects I can zip around town on the street with. Looking forward to making new friends that are VW fans!

Thanks guys! I follow the FB page but there isn't a whole lot of action on there. I see a lot of GTG's are in the Battle Creek area...that's quite a haul for me...but very interested in anything in the Holland to Silver Lake areas:)

Welcome justaguy. I had to Google Fruitport to see where it was. You're right, that would be a haul to the B.C. area. There's other events such as the Bug Run that may interest you.

Yup, I've been to a couple Bug Runs...they're a good time! Hope to make the Frankenmuth show in September and whatever else comes along on the west side;)

Hi Brian! Glad to see you on here. The GTG's move around a bit. There will be sure to be some closer to you in the future, but traveling can be fun too.

Thanks Rudy! We keep our camper at a seasonal spot near Silver Lake so we spend a lot of time up there when the weather is good...plus my kids play softball, basketball and volleyball almost all year. It's not that I mind traveling for a GTG...but the time and distance can make it hard to attend. I see there's a couple of guys in the Holland area so any cruise nights or car shows...I'm interested:)

Brian,
Our family has a cottage on the channel between Silver Lake and Lake Michigan(near the termit bridge). Stop in and say Hey!! I know how sports and long travel don't lend to easy scheduling. In the past we have had a Dune Day and even with the cottage up there I haven't been able to attend because of Grandkids soccer. Wouldn't be any where else though.

Hey Kenn, we're actually down by Stony Lake but get to Silver Lake quite a bit. My 2 seat rail that I took to Silver Lake forever is under construction to accept a lengthened tub body, so I've been running my Jeep the last year. Would enjoy getting together this summer and meeting some new folks:)
