Silly Lathe project

Its been a little boring around the Johnson ranch. What you are looking at is a project I did on my lathe. It is a cube captured within a cube, cut from a single piece of 1.5 inch solid bar stock.
This is referred to as a "Turner's Cube", and once was quite common as a first solo project on a lathe for a machine shop apprentice.
