I got a nice swing axle in the back of the 66 BUUUUUuuut I cant help but notice it has kind of a high ratio. I mean it does hyway speeds and all but she is turning like 5000 rpm at 70. Sooooo I was thinking of either buying one outa Hot vw add for like 375 or find someone to do it around here. Any Ideas or suggenstions?

I think there are at least 3 people on here who build transaxles. Greg Hudson rebuilt mine and I am very happy with it (stock, not freeway flyer). Greg can be reached at: 269-830-9088.

5000rpms at 70mph is no freeway flyer. Sounds like it has a 437r/p in it. I have a .082 fourth gear for a early swing that I may sell and maybe even a 388r/p to.
