Anyone planning to go to this? I think last year there was a roped off area just for VW - Bren I thought I saw your car there. Is there something similar in the works for this year? Early registration ends July 25.

Hello. Yes, we plan to go again. Last year we went the night before and met with the staff of Gilmore. At that point they reserved an area for us. We plan to contact them today or tomorrow to try to coordinate the same for this year. I forgot about registering in advance, thank you for the reminder.

The roped off area I think was thanks to Bren and another man who I don't remember his name . I was a little ah struck the hole day . Also as an over all VW owners had most in attendance around 35 if I recall . And Bren was presented a type of trophy to reflect that .

Hi Everyone. Before last year my wife and I went every year to this show and its always a good show. Last year we went to Tennessee and were not around for it. This year we will be going and hope to see all of you at the show. Hopefully my car will start (Either the normal way or popping the clutch) and we will make it there. John in Plainwell

I checked with Gilmore today. They said we can register the day of the event. They did not say if it will cost more or not.

Jim McCarty coordinated this event for MVVC last year. I helped him as he was possibly going to be out of town. Jim has again talked to the folks at Gilmore. They will have a spot roped off for us. Last year they had a cruise in on Friday night. We set aside our space then with the help of Gilmore staff. This year I don't see any mention of the cruise in. As Glen mentioned, last year we won an award for club participation. Glen also won an award in the peoples choice car show. He was the only individual VW winner! Congratulations Glen! Hopefully we will have an even larger VW turn out than last year.

Bren, I'm planning to be there with my 70 Ghia. My Ghia is not a show car. Is it ok to bring it or park it at visitor's parking lot?

Bring it and come hang out. To my knowledge they don't exclude anyone based on condition of the car. If they do then you can park in spectator parking and come join us. -Bren

Bren,
We won that award as MVVC right? I know I put The GoodVolks on my car for Club. Lets win it again but for us!

Yes, we won as MVVC. Funny thing is it was really us and that other club from Indiana that attended. No regulars from mvvc bothered to come over. Maybe they will this time?

Well it looks like I am not going to make it now, I have been trying to get a job at the old oil change place I worked at last year and the owner has asked me to work on Saturday so I am going to do it. I hope this is the start of full time employment again for me. I'm also going there tommarro at 8am to start work on his Superbeetle project.
My parents are still coming so I will send the banner with them. It sucks but it doesnt since I will be working but I was really looking forward to this event and meeting the new members who are coming out. But I will have to wait until the GTG.
