For One to make something that is right for ALL is a Tall Order . But I am willing to make up a Prototype that slips over a STANDARED Antenna with a or some magnets maybe a little fringe and pay for a Silk screen if the one that we have for the backs of our hoodies doesn't size up for a flag . Now color , I could use some help with a Poll .

What is going to rub? Your beam is already narrowed isn't it? I wonder if you would accomplish just as much by going to a smaller front tire? A tight turn, at full lock, and a slight incline or decline (like backing out of a driveway) it'll rub the inner fender. Especially if there is someone else in the car with me. Whats smaller than a 135? A 145/65 is shorter but a bit wider, I wasn't sure if I would gain anything, plus if I go narrower I'll will be all set if I ever get a nice set of rims. I was thinking something old school like an original pennant style flag, with a blue border and white inner. The Goodvolks on one side and a vw symbol on the other. jerry

Are you running 135's in the front? I thought you were running 165's all around. You rub on the inside of the fender or on the body?

Yeah, I'm running 135's. They rub the fender at full lock. If you look at my driver side fender you can see where the tire hit and bent the lip of the fender. I was able to knock it back into shape but the paint flaked off in that spot.

Back to the flag .(1) how tall is your fender antenna ? (2 ) On a calm day, Do you still want to see the Logo ? (3) Flag or Pennant ? (4) If the material it thicker it can be printed on both sides . For a calm day I can add in a coat hanger Up and Out along the top to keep its shape . I can have Velcro vice slip on . If it was a Pennant and the material is stiffer it will hold shape better . If it a flag with a wire it and there is a wind it may act like a weather vane . I'm going to look for material this afternoon .

The flag pole is about 12" tall, maybe a little less if at all. I was thinking the pennant style also. I think a pennant would look better going down the road.

I could also be interested in a full size club flag for shows or slow cruises, mounted on/in the trailer hitch. Later Kenn
