It is a redo of another clubs show, been at this location a few times, as well as windmill island, and the outlet mall. This the first year and time our club has taken on this show, hoping to make an annual event(I believe) Thanks to Rudy who has been doing a great deal of prep to get it to fly. Later Kenn

Like Kenn said, this is a revival of an event that used to be. It was held at the Grand Haven Airport also once in the mid 90's, which was a great spot. As far as turn-out, who knows. I'm hoping that we can raise $1000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, but we really won't know until it is history. This used to be an outstanding event. I remember Mofoco bringing their semi on a few occasions. Hopefully we can bring it back to its former glory over time. This year is a learning experience and a small step toward that.

Oh NO!
I have been primping the Puma for several days here, and it is raining like cats and dogs here in East Lansing!
At the beginning of the week, the forecast was great...now they are talking 80 percent chance of rain. The Puma is a lot of things, but watertight is right at the bottom of the list...

Oh Yeah!
Mother Nature is doing everything possible to use up the bad weather today!
There is supposed to be a window of good weather tomorrow just about when we need it. Hope the forecasters are right!

I'm certainly hoping for that!
With no side windows, I can't come if the weather is crappy. I'd be floating inside the car before I got home.

I am new (used to big into vw's 20+ years ago) and I am looking forward to the Holland show. Based on the weather is the event still going to happen?

The show must go on, rain or shine. The local forcast has about a 50% chance right now and it seems to be moving toward a later date. Earlier in the week it was Sat, then Sun, and this morning they've moved it to Sun/Mon. Hope we will be in good weather, but should be fun either way.

Man, I'm sure hoping! I hate it when you spend a couple of days prepping the car, and then you can't go.
Right now it looks dicey...my garage is taking on water. The poor Puma is all dressed up, with nowhere to go right now.

Hey all Well Thomas and I braved the gail force winds and monsoon like rain all the way across I-96 to make it to the show. The bus ran great all the way here. Then we pulled into the hotel and shut it down to check in came back out and hit the key and nothin!! Funny thing about my buses they never seem to quit on the road but rather when I get where I am going. So I climb under in 2 inches of water and jump the starter with a screwdriver then drive across the street to Menards buy a switch and some wire and wire a jumper from the battery to the starter and so we are on the road for tomorrow. Just have to turn the key on then hit the switch to run the starter

HAHAHA could you imagine fixing one of the new wundermachines with parts from Menards I took a wet drive in Ally this morning where she basically said to me "Im not made of sugar, Im 43 years old and have seen lots of rain before!!" The wipers and lights and all worked fine. No leaking and I think Ill be ok. Ill be taking off around 7am'ish or whenever I wake up.... Its a 2.5 hour drive for me and rain would make it more like a 3.0 to 3.5 hour drive. We shall see. Ill be bringing an umbrella. Someone needs to bring cards and we can all hang out in the busses !! Are there any places to congrigate if its rainapaluza ? Ill see ya'll at the show. Dont make me drive there and see no one there!! You all better be there wet (or dry) and happy Dan

Yeah I think my buick would just laugh at me! Actually this whole week has just proven to me how tough and reliable the old bus is. After 2 summers of driving I decided this year to go thru a real tune of the motor. Started with timing light found it about 20 degrees advance at idle. then found vacuum advance can leaking then found it has a dvda and the retard line was not connected then found intake boot leaking. All this time I have been driving it (2000 to 3000 miles) and it has always started and run well! unbelievable

Dave (vw1302) and I just checked the lot. No trucks in the way and it is still getting the rain out of its system. We will have a good time tomorrow. Glad the show wasn't today. Tomorrow is bound to be better weather wise.

Check your oil, check your lug nuts (mine were loose ) Check your brakes (mine needed to be adjusted) The scary part is where I found my hub nut on the left rear wheel was way loose!!! Check your stuff over guys so you get there without any probs.... Night night to all see ya at the show.
