I live in Grand Haven and was planning on coming out to the show early, so if you need more people to help, I might be able to do so. Also wanted to know how early we need to be there if we want to show our car. I heard the space was limited.

I would like to go, but the show interferes with my senior project display weekend at school. Hopefully it will be a good show, good weather and a lot of VWs show up. I would like to see some event photos when the show is over.

I was saying to meet to drive over to Holland, in Allegan then cruise as a group to breakfast and then to the show. Sorry I didn't make that more clear. One more time, AJ , Steven, I and anyone else, to Burger King up M-40, then Battle Creek/ Plainwell and any others via M-89 meet at Burger King on M-89/ M-40 and then to Holland for breakfast. All are welcome to join the group at any point. Anyone coming from the North, East , West or South, can at any time chime in and join the parade. Wouldn't it be cool as heck to have a mess of v-dubs blast in from one direction and park together to promote the show from a breakfast meeting place??? Later Kenn

AJ when is the start of the show/ swap any idea?? We need to leave and hour and a half for breakfast, and it will take at least and hour and 15 to get there maybe an hr. and half. How about you swing by the house and then we wll go pick up Steve and then to Allegan from there. Meet the others and then to Holland. Later Kenn

Hello Everyone.
The details of the show are on the GoodVolks Homepage. I guess we all spend our time on the forums and it never occurred to me that putting the info on the homepage wasn't getting to everyone. I apologize for that, but am learning. This is the informal schedule for the event on Sunday the 26th:
9:00AM: Early volunteers show up and start putting the physical things in place to run the event.
9:30AM: Volunteers start working at registering and directing setup for their show and swap spots for each other so we learn what to do and we can refine the process as needed.
10:00AM People will probably start arriving for the show that opens at 11:00AM. Volunteers will still be working out our own rough edges...................
11:00AM Sometime between 10:00AM and now we will have figured out what to do and will be registering people for the show and swap.
2:00PM Balloting for the car show will end and be tallied.
2:15PM The winner of the car show will be announced. Swappers start feeling like it's last call
3:00PM We all leave the premises in better condition than we found them.

I'm going to be driving down from big Rapids if any other northerers want to hook up for some caravan to the show. old 131 or highway I don't mind either way.

Would love to, problem is its 2.9 hour drive and we are already leaving at 6:30 and looking to be there around 9:30/10. We assume its ok to show a little early? Also how much for a swap space? I assume I dont have to reserve a spot. Also I will be wearing my dark grey harsh winters shirt with the black eagle on it for those who may look around to say hi. |
