I know, a long way from home! I'm Mark... I have an obsession with slammed bugs, turbo motors, WHEELS, and most recently, my BUS! Here's my cars: 1965 right hand drive 2" tranny raised drawthrough T3 turbo'd Beetle - in progress, but nearing completion Black Bart - 1963 Beetle, 10" narrowed and 5" raised torsion housing, single port baby turbo motor... Original paint, 100% solid body, one heck of a fun ride! And.... my bus. 1966 SO-42 walkthrough Westy. A couple past cars - 1964 Beetle 1972 Super Beetle

Those are awesome. Black Bart has been my favorite car for a long time, when JJ put it up for sale I was bummed I didn't have the money to pick it up. Its making it closer to me so maybe someday I'll be lucky enough. I've also followed your build on the kcw site of you rhd turbo bug, you do nice work hopefully I'll get to see them someday. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see what you do with your bus.

Love the look and great stance, but are they drivable? My Ghia is low, not as low as yours and I grind my teeth over RR tracks, pot holes, and speed bumps.

My 64 was a KCW car, Black Bart is a KCW car, and my bus is too. Nice solid cars in GJ. As for the bus - I believe it will be, first and foremost, a slammed camper.

All my cars are built to be driven. I drove the 72 Super for an entire summer with less than 2" of ground clearance at the front crossmember. Drove the 64 Beetle the entire following summer. Bart is the lowest car I have ever owned... But 100% driveable. All of my lowered VWs have been awesome drivers - handling and ride quality. They may scrape every now and then - but that's life! No biggie.

btw, what did you do to get rid of the flames? Previous owner just rattle canned some satin black over them. I am in the process of stripping the hood down, repainting it black, and then giving it a little artificial patina to match the rest of the car. New interior is going in this week also...

Welcome Mark! I remember seeing that Super before I like that car alot. You have some really nice rides. Hope to see them and you in person this season! I sold it to a guy in Michigan... Maybe some of you guys know him? His name is George. He painted it a different blue, put 5-spokes and early bumpers on it. I thought it was pretty bad ass with the shiny patina, but... to each his own!!

Hmm, Actually I think that person you sold it too was selling it not too long ago. I remember seeing a Super with 5-spokes and was painted a medium blue. I think he was from Grand Haven but I have no idea who he is.
