Spend some time with the hurst shifter tonight. Took it apart and cleaned everything really well. Also gave the parts a few nice coats of paint. Everything is in very good shape and moves as it should. My sweet new shift knob is supposed to be here anytime now so thats cool. Anyway, my question is this, what should I use to lube all the mechanisms in it? Dont want something that will attract dirt etc.

I cant fully seal where the shifter is with a boot due to the way its mounted in my rail so I want to try to cut down as much as possabable on dirt etc. I was thinking about some sort of teflon lube or something. They say dirt doesnt stick as well to those.

Use SuperLube synthetic grease. It does not attract dirt, works well. Been using for years in the race cars, machinery, and everything else.
Works from -45 degrees centigrade to 232 degrees centigrade. Good stuff.
It's about $7 for 3 ounces.
I get mine at Production Tool, but have seen it elsewhere.

Is that like sylglide synthetic brake grease? I have some of that I though about using.

Different stuff. I have used Sylglide in the past, and it loves dirt.

I do too. I cant stand shifting with some weird shaped knob. The white is what a lot of Hurst Indys came with so thats what I wanted to get. It fits perfect in my hand too.

Small amount of work done this weekend. I cut (yes cut) the old, worn out tie rods off. They were super loose and the PO welded them together to attempt keeping them tight. NOT GOOD! But I got them off and mocked up the new beefed up rods and ends. I also mocked up some of the lights I picked up at the Bug Run as well. I will have to build some sort of light bar to hold them but I like how they look on the top. I also removed the windsheild due to a large crack all the wat through the middle of the glass. Making some progress, not as much as Id like but some is better than nothing!
