We drove Ghia to the Plainwell ice cream shop this evening. The shop was open last week. They have delicious ice creams. Black cherry is my favorite. This winter I spent some time fixing up my Ghia, mainly interior work. Here is the list I did to my Ghia this winter. Installed a radio and rewire to a side speaker, installed a wiring cover, replaced front grill weather strips, adjusted front door windows, repaired door panels, replaced front seat cushions, repaired rear back seat (Sawing was fun), installed new mufflers, re glued carpet at behind back seat. I also spent a little time on my 76 bus. My Ghia started up and drove nice. Thanks to all of you took care of my ghia last Oct. A week ago I received an e mail from the original owner in California. He found the last maintenance information. He spent approx. $1,800 (labor over$900 and parts over $800) before transfer the ghia to Michigan.

Due to the rain I have been having wiring fun with the lights and wipers. I fnally (after 2 days of redoing) got the lights to work without the dreaded burnng smell!! and the wipers now work but only have one speed (slow). Every see that brady bunch episode when the oldest rewired his first convertable car/hoopdie and everything didnt work to the right switch? THats how I feel Dan

Got the blue bug aligned, lifetime alignment is a good deal.
Had two new keys made. Left a door handle to be rekeyed. Had one handle not working properly. It is going to only cost $10 to have it rekeyed at A-Z locksmith in Battle Creek. The owner of A-Z is a military collector. I got a tour of his museum, it is in his shop in the back rooms. Very cool. He has tons of stuff including 5 military jeeps. This is the same guy John Hanson bought his Model A from. He likes Volkswagens too. He always has nice comments about mine when I have been there.

Actually, I do have a tow bar, and my father has one too. Eventually it will be a trailer.
