I re-installed the deck lid and enlarged the breather holes in the fire wall since the stainless steel line is bigger then the hose I was running. Also made a hole for the return fuel line and vacuum line for the fuel regulator, all nicely done with rubber grommets.

I look forward to seeing your car go down the track Clinton. I adjusted the brakes and tried to get the horn working. I really don't enjoy the beetle horn system. I find it very difficult to find the problems. All new wires and it still is not right.

Bren just be glad that you don't have 2 horns that run through a metal relay that clips to the sheet metal of the car. I now have a plastic relay.

I miss driving it.

Im going to install some mudflaps and do an oil change on the 66 tommorow morning before going to the meeting. Im thinking the 66 is my new full time ride starting tommorow, weather be d**ned due to the blowing up of my ford van.

Got a couple proper '67 tin pieces from George. Trying to go for the proper look even though it is the improper engine.

Nothing to really report today as the we let the pan dry more. We have 2 coats of Zero Rust down on both sides of the pan and some truck/trailer paint waiting to go on.

reinstalled the pea shooter that shot out. Tightened the clamp. Used a little exhaust sealant to help make it fit tighter into the exhaust.

I like taper tips and they are even worse at coming out, probably due to more weight. A well placed center punch on the muffler tube that houses the tip seems to work wonders.

Got Ruffuss out for the first time, uncovered, washed, waxed, shop vac'ed the interior. Drove around the block, then down to the station, topped him off with cheaper then when I put him up gas, still only $1.74 a gallon, $2.65 to fill up, how cool is that. Drove in to Paw Paw for some root beer stand dogs and rootbeer. Came home and put him back to bed. Can't wait for spring to spring. Shouldn't be long now(but wait this is Michigan and just wait 5 minutes and the weather will change) Later Kenn
