Rudy had mentioned the idea of the club going to Martin and participating in one of their Wed. night test and tunes. Who is interested in doing this? I think it would be fun to take my car down the track though I never intend to get into formal racing. Wouldn't it be great to see some stock VW's going down the track?!
Kenn: Let's put our 1776's up against each other!

Bren, your on, sounds like a hoot, one yellow shoe box up agianst an inverted bath tub. Last time I ran Ruffuss down the track I turned a blistering 23.43 sec. quarter at 62 mph. People went to the concession stand and came back to their seats in that time. Hope to improve on that a bit.Let me know when we decide to go and if I'm not working doubles your on. So are you going to spot me one carb or just discontact it? Later Kenn

The way I tune carbs I probably am only running on one! Run What You Brung!
I think it will be a blast. We can go have fun and show some support for the track.
I guess we need to pick a date and go for it.
Anyone want to take on coordinating this?

The idea behind this was to say "Thank You" to the track for hosting the Show and Swap Meet portions of the Bug Run that most of us are most interested in. Most logically it should occur after the Bug Run, so here's the question:
If we do this on Sept 10, will you go?
If we do this on Oct 5, will you go?
If either day will work for you, vote for both. Trying to get the day that works for the most people.
You can send a me a message or post here or call or whatever and I'll keep track of the vote. Also, I'll make up a trophy to award for some bogus reason (brightest headlights, least exhaust smoke, earliest arrival, etc) since we really can't be too serious about this and drive our VW's.

Bren, Either one or both suit me. I'm easy to get along with reguardless of what Steve's mom says. Steve thinks a midnight maddness event might be cheaper and easier to just clown around with. Any thoughts? because like I said it don't matter to me, my only thing is that my insurance policy 6mths off the road starts the 1st of Nov. but I can get a rider for a day or weekend. Later Kenn PS It might also be a good opportunity to have cook out and burn some weiners and tires in the same time frame.
