I found pix of ur car I know what u mean about the Stinger ,I have them on both street vw's,But a vw motor needs the rpm to cool them so you can't just slap an overdrive type trans in them and expect them to run cool, unless u have the motor to pull it,Your's should be a 4:37 IF someone didn't change it? I can come up with a gearing solution for ya, I'll PM you with a price if that's OK?

thanks for the pm. this is going to be a project for the winter along with a few other things so i was just curious. how do i tell what trans is in it? i really want to keep the stinger so i might try a baffle. or i might just end up using the stock exhaust.

There is a code #stamped on the right side of the gear housing, post the 1st 2 letters,or u can stick it in 2nd gear and turn input shaftuntil one rear tire turn one rev,9 turns=4:37,, 81/2 turns =4:12,,you can also pull the drian plug and count teeth,,33t=4:12 35T=4:37,, I Use a Baffled stinger when going long distance
