I love the Yipsi location. Its nice and much better than the hot VWOA parking lot where it used to be but I am all for it being at Gilmore since its closer not that I mind the drive at all.

For me, the drive is part of the whole appeal of shows. I like the drive over to Ypsi. Especially when we go in a group. I know it will be a busy weekend with the Bug Run Saturday and the Vintage Festival on Sunday but I think it will be fun. Especially if we get the cross state group drives happening. Both of these shows benefit our hobby and I plan to support them both.

Thanks for that link, Bren. Gilmore look like an interesting place.
Is there anyplace in the Jackson area? It would be great if more metro Detroit air cooled folks could join in.

Here is the latest update on the Vintage Festival: We have decided to move our event to Sunday, May 17th in order to not "overload" the last weekend in May with too many VW events in Michigan. This change will require a change in venue and the 2009 Festival will be on the grounds of Karmann USA in Plymouth. I'll see that a notice of the Bug-Run appears in our next newsletter and I hope you can spread the word that the Vintage Festival will be on May 17th from 9AM to 3 PM. As usual, we will have a kick-off party the night before and try to arrange some sort of hotel deal for people from farther away. As things develop, they will be posted on our website: www.mvvc.net. Thanks for your patience! Cheers! John Deikis President Michigan Vintage V W Club
